Welcome to Friday. Astrologically speaking, this is an exciting Friday.

It’s fun when something unprecedented—or at least a long time since the last time—happens. In this case, it’s today’s New Moon in Aquarius.

What makes it so special?

“We experienced a teaser of Pluto in Aquarius between March and June of 2023. But before that, the transformer planet hadn’t journeyed through Aquarius since the late 1700s. We’re about to board a once-in-several-centuries rollercoaster ride. This is mostly unexplored territory in our lifetime — and many lifetimes before.” 

In other words, it’s been a while.

“This New Moon is about breaking ties with whatever keeps our inner visionary, innovator, and world-builder asleep. It is about grappling with and witnessing the grief that is hidden in plain sight.

“It is about remembering that we are not too late to make the future better. In fact, this moment is the only place from which we can create change. It’s the only place from which we can learn to love, cherish, and take care of one another, and therefore the world.” -Chani Nicholas

Big stuff.

Even if you’re unsure about all of the astrological implications, the New Moon is one of my favorite reminders to set new intentions, take inventory, and be present in my life.
