🌙 Your Monday ritual starts here. Every Monday, I pull cards to help you reflect and gain new insights into your life. Take what resonates, leave the rest, and trust your path.
Hi friends,
Welcome to another week. I have a question:
What feelings are you carrying lately?
Have you noticed them?
Can you name them?
Without getting too in the weeds about the work I do, naming emotions is a core part of it and for most of us, we think we’re better at it than we really are (unless you’ve been practicing).
Try it.
Take a breath or two and scan your body and mind. What are you feeling?
There are some great resources out there to help sharpen this skill, my favorite being the emotion wheel.
Why do it?
Naming your emotions can help you cope, improve your understanding of the problem and subsequent decision-making, as well as reduce the intensity, to name a few.
For me, it’s been a sad few days. We said aloha to Coffee the Cat, who would’ve been 21 (!) this year. She was adopted from the Honolulu Humane Society a lifetime ago.
How was your life different 20 years ago? (See what I mean? A lifetime).
Your Path
Today felt like a good time to offer a more in-depth spread, something to re-focus or ground you, especially if you’ve had a lot going on.
Remember, the cards help you think of things in new ways, or pull up information you might’ve missed. If you feel they help predict things, you’re welcome to embrace that approach, but you won’t find a lot of it here. It isn’t wrong, just isn’t my style.
As always, approach with an open mind and you’ll be surprised what surfaces.
Today’s cards and questions
I created today’s spread as a way of exploring where you are in your journey as of right now.
It’s meant to offer some clarity. Feel free to use your own cards with this spread, I’ll include a graphic below for you to keep.
In case you just skimmed over them, I’ll be following the above questions for today’s reading, fyi.
xo,

Pile one
1. My Path (8 of Pentacles rx):
You’re dancing with uncertainty these days, where your work feels like it’s not yielding the fruits you thought it would. The routine might feel like it has lost its meaning, or the progress seems stalled.
This card reflects a sense of disconnection from your craft, your efforts falling flat. I look at it as an alignment thing. You may be feeling a little out of alignment with your own skills, or perhaps you’re questioning if this path is even worth the effort.
This energy asks you to take a step back. Ask yourself, Is this what I really want?
2. This Moment (Four of Pentacles rx):
In the present, you’re being asked to let go. We all grip a little harder than is necessary in this life. Sometimes we need a reminder to loosen and relax a bit.
Where have you been holding onto things, whether it’s security, possessions, or control, out of fear of losing what you’ve worked hard for?
This card, when reversed, invites you to release. It’s time to trust that life will continue to provide without your constant grip on the reins.
Letting go will bring freedom, even if it feels vulnerable.
3. Where It’s Leading Me (8 of Swords):
The path is leading you to a deeper realization: your own mental prison.
That sounds harsh, but it’s an important message.
The 8 of Swords shows that your current feelings of entrapment are not from external forces, but your own self-imposed limitations.
This moment in your journey calls you to challenge the thoughts and beliefs that are holding you back.
The key to your liberation is already within you. The truth is, you’re not as stuck as you feel.
4. Guidance (The Wheel of Fortune rx):
The Wheel of Fortune reversed reminds you that life’s cycles are turning, but right now, they feel off. This is not a time of destiny unfolding but a pause, a misalignment.
If you’re feeling out of sync with the universe as if things just aren’t going your way, take this moment to reflect on the deeper lesson: Life doesn’t always flow in a straight line.
Sometimes, misfortune offers the richest lessons. Trust that the wheel will turn again, but for now, focus on the lessons in the pauses, the reorienting moments.
Final thoughts
It seems that you’re in a period of deep reflection and transition. The cards speak of feeling stuck, disconnected, and uncertain, yet they also point to a powerful opportunity for growth. While the path ahead may seem unclear, each card is a reminder that liberation is within reach.
Embrace this time of introspection, knowing that when you realign with yourself and let go of what you’ve been clinging to, the wheel will start turning in your favor again. You are on the verge of breaking free, and with every step, you are moving closer to the clarity and freedom you seek. Keep faith in the journey.
Pile two
1. My Path (King of Cups):
You’re being called to embody emotional maturity and balance.
The King of Cups shows a path of emotional mastery, where you’re learning to navigate the ebb and flow of feelings without being overwhelmed.
Even if it doesn’t seem like it, you are capable of holding steady even in turbulent waters. This energy asks you to remain grounded in compassion—both for yourself and others.
Your journey now is to create harmony within.
2. This Moment (5 of Cups):
You might be grappling with some form of loss or disappointment, possibly overlooking what you have due to the weight of what has been lost.
This card is actually so hopeful.
The 5 of Cups asks you to pause and turn your attention to what is still available, what still remains. You are being invited to shift your focus, not to ignore your grief, but to find gratitude in what is left—there is beauty in resilience.
The present challenge is to heal, slowly. We all want to get through what doesn’t feel great. Lean on what you do have right now.
3. Where It’s Leading Me (Page of Pentacles rx):
The Page of Pentacles reversed shows that this path may be leading you to a moment of self-reflection on what you truly want to build, but it also brings the warning that you may be struggling to find your footing.
The energy here suggests some misalignment with your purpose or your goals.
Perhaps you’re distracted, uncertain, or lacking the necessary commitment to move forward with confidence. This moment invites you to reassess your focus and bring clarity to your intentions.
4. Guidance (The High Priestess rx):
The High Priestess reversed is calling you to reconnect with your inner wisdom, but there’s a blockage that keeps you from accessing it fully.
Perhaps you’re ignoring your intuition, or you’re too wrapped up in the noise of external influences to hear your inner voice.
This card asks you to create quiet moments of stillness to allow your intuition to surface. Trust that you already know what needs to be done, but you must be willing to listen more deeply. The guidance here is to trust yourself—your answers lie within.
Final thoughts
In this moment of reflection, take time to pause, assess, and realign. The obstacles and uncertainty you face are not permanent.
They are simply a part of the journey, leading you to a deeper understanding of yourself and your path forward. Trust that everything is unfolding as it should, and take each step with patience and self-compassion.
