Hello Tarot lovers, welcome to another beautiful week!
This week’s spread is a fun one, and will hopefully offer you some insight into an area of life where you need a different perspective or a little extra guidance.
It’s also an old-school Rider Waite spread, which is always fun to return to.
If you’re considering learning the Tarot, it’s often recommended to start with the Rider Waite deck as it features the main archetypes and concepts pretty clearly. It’s certainly not necessary though, especially if you’re not interested in the traditional card meanings.
There are so many decks out there, you’ll know when the right one finds you! This doesn’t mean you can’t actively go shopping for it, of course. Definitely do shop around. But be extra conscious of how each deck makes you feel. You’ll notice a big shift when it’s the right deck.

ONE
Theme: Ten of Cups
Suggestion: The Magician, reversed
The Ten of Cups is a card of massive abundance. You might be finding more emotional stability after a stretch of big ups and downs. Perhaps you’re feeling lighter than you did not very long ago.
The Ten is about harmony with the other humans you spend time with. By being present with your own emotions and not projecting or blaming others when you feel down, you’re learning to cultivate better relationships.
The Magician is here to suggest that if you’re not quite feeling the Ten’s harmony with others and your emotional Self, perhaps you’re trying too hard. You might even tend towards manipulating situations instead of being forthright. Manipulations of others can be as small as a white lie to avoid confrontation, or more insidious.
The good news here is that you have what you need to be in a peaceful place in your life right now. Set the ego aside as much as possible and practice curiosity with others instead of judgment.
TWO
Theme: Seven of Wands
Suggestion: Ten of Swords
This group is going through something a little heavy. The Wands suggest competition, a kind of defending-your-territory energy.
Whether with real people in your life or within yourself, you’ve been all over the place. Really firey and short-fused, depleted, and yet determined to keep going.
The Ten is here to suggest that if you keep going at your current pace without more rest and reflection, you will burn yourself out or burn an important bridge with someone.
You have the power of choice here, choice in the way you handle things moving forward. If you are in a rested state of mind—just taking a short walk can do this—you’re better equipped to be fair to yourself and others.
If you keep pushing and pushing, things will get more challenging before they get better. Remember, your state of mind and emotion shape how you see and experience the world. Every. Single. Time.
THREE
Theme: The Chariot
Suggestion: Nine of Pentacles
The Chariot is a card of momentum. You have an idea of what you’d like and where you want to go. You might have a higher level of determination than previously, which means you should pay close attention to what you’re being called to.
We all feel called in a direction about something. What is the strongest pull for you? What did your body just bring to the forefront of your mind when you read this?
That’s what the Chariot wants you to find alignment with.
The Nine of Pentacles suggests that you spend time feeling luxurious and abundant. Perhaps it’s a fancy meal or massage, or test-driving a Tesla. The point is that if you can feel abundant you’ll more quickly get to where you’re going, where the Chariot is leading you.
So, acknowledge what’s come forth and find a space of feeling abundant, self-sufficient, and powerful. From that place, everything will happen.
