Good morning, friends,

When I woke up today (and every day), there were tiny rabbits, giant turkeys, chickens, cardinals, squirrels, chipmunks, chickadees, woodpeckers, and more just chillin’ in my yard.

That’s my life now since moving out of the city, something I never, ever, ever thought I’d be called to do.

These aren’t even our chickens 😆

We’re not far, a couple of miles from the nearest town and about 25 minutes to the heart of Minneapolis.

There’s an acre here that nudges up against a marsh. Thanks to the incredible Teddy-Roosevelt-like foresight of a group of determined neighbors, it was purchased over twenty years ago and then donated to the MN Land Trust so no one could come in with sand, fill it in, and build on it.

They’ll build on every last inch I’m learning. But that’s another newsletter.

I’ve had more than one person in my life refer to me as “quite the bird lady” in the past few months.

For me, that’s a solidly high compliment. Thank you.

Today’s deck is all birds.

It’s a special deck based on beautiful creations from our collective spiritual past, including Buddhism, Jung, and Attar’s The Conference of Birds.

It’s spectacular.
