Back in August, I tried a new approach to these readings to shake things up and I’d completely forgotten about it until today.
This reading is a reach into the collective energy rather than approaching it individually.
The cards
The cards—left to right—represent body, mind, and spirit and are meant to be reflections for you to sit with. What comes up for you will be different than another person, but the message is coming from the greater collective.
I have to say I was pretty surprised to see all of these swords! There’s definitely something strong coming through today…
Whew! Look at all those Swords!
Swords are the suit of Air. They are mostly associated with intellect and action. Seeing a spread of all Swords like today’s is a message to examine what you’re seeking to solve in your life.
This might be conflict resolution, internal mental struggles, or big decisions you’re grappling with.
Body: King of Swords:
Your body—what it needs to thrive—has all the answers you seek. It communicates with you all day, every day. It will tell you when it’s tired or needs to move, but it will also reflect back to you the intensity of your intellectual problems and struggles.
For example, if you’re working out a conflict with someone important to you in your life, your body may reflect this back to you with muscle tension, dull headaches, or fatigue.
It’s all connected.
But the King of Swords is clear, powerful, and stands in truth.
This card is here to remind you that your body is the same. It is powerful. It is complex but efficient. And it is true. It will not lie to you, so listen to its wisdom.
Mind: Six of Swords
The Six of Swords is all about moving away from something toxic and releasing baggage.
What have you been tumbling around in your head over, and over, and over again that you could release?
It’s time for your mind to expand in a new direction. Perhaps looking at a challenge in your life from a different perspective, maybe that of a person that’s involved. Or maybe from a place of abundance instead of lack.
Spirit: Five of Swords, reversed
It’s time to reconnect with your higher self, your Big Belief system, whatever that might be…and there are no wrong answers here. This is all about your relationship, or lack of one, with Spirit.
This is about reconciliation and making amends in the reversed position.
Have you been neglecting this part of your life? Maybe you’ve stopped meditating or journaling.
Or listening.
Quiet your mind. Connect to more.
