Aloha and welcome to another reading!
Today’s spread is inspired by one of my teachers and is a different take on similar spreads I’ve offered in the past, with one exception: today’s cards have questions already assigned to guide you through the next week & beyond.
Plus, this one works in layers, so make sure you have a few minutes to dig in!
xo,
Natalie
Today’s cards:
This is a 4-card spread with guiding questions.
I’ll be reading with these questions in mind today thanks to @biddytarot. The cards will read clockwise, beginning with 1 at 9 o’clock, 2 at twelve, and so on.
Where do I need to slow down?
How am I spreading myself too thin?
What I can do to recharge at this time?
How can I practice more patience with myself overall?
Which pile draws you in the most?
From left to right, piles 1-3.
Breath. Listen. Feel. Then choose.
The crystals & stones:
1-Iolite: amplifies exploration of the inner self, calm, aids in vision quests✨third eye chakra
2-Lepidolite: strengthens immune system, tension relief, emotional balance ✨heart chakra
3- Kunzite: calms emotions, promotes inner strength, emotional healing✨throat & third eye chakras
Plants:
🌸Chrysanthemum
Planets: Mercury & Uranus
In Japan, the chrysanthemum is honored on September 9th.
It is traditionally an herb of immortality and is used in rituals of death and dying, very apt for this time of year.
Chrysanthemum has often been associated with its ability to aid in mental acuity.
Hold up!
Choose a pile from the photo above before scrolling down.

Pile 1
The High Priestess
Eight of Pentacles (reversed)
Three of Wands (reversed)
Wheel of Fortune (reversed)
Where do I need to slow down?
The High Priestess is a reminder that you are wiser and more in tune with the subtle energies around you, BUT you also might be more reactive these days.
If you find yourself reacting before stepping back, this card is a reminder to do just that. Sit with your “knowing” and wait until it’s an aligned time to reach out or speak up.
How am I spreading myself too thin?
The Eight of Pentacles (reversed) is asking you to take a break from hyper-focus. You may be spending tons of time focused on attention to detail or reworking an issue a problem over and over and over.
This will ultimately lead to burnout, something you may already be feeling a little of.
You may also be distracted lately, pulling yourself in too many directions and away from the solid groundwork you’ve laid otherwise, personally or professionally.
Refocus. Cut out the unnecessary things that may be taking up all your energy and pulling you from what really matters.
What I can do to recharge at this time?
To recharge, the Three of Wands (reversed) is recommending that you graciously accept wherever you are on your own journey right now. It might not be where you’d like to be, but acceptance will bring you peace.
Take the time to reevaluate your desires until things feel more aligned.
How can I practice more patience with myself overall?
The Wheel of Fortune represents cycles; birth, death, and rebirth. This card reversed is pointing to a lack of alignment within yourself. This is inner work, not external relationships or projects.
Do not resist change at this time, but embrace it.
Have patience knowing that this card is here to offer you a quiet whisper: “Realign with your knowing,” which is a wonderful form of guidance to receive.
So what does that mean?
Journaling is a very effective way to connect with what you really feel or desire. Connecting with nature, or just sitting quietly for a while each day.
Overall message
There is a strong message here to look within and connect with your inner knowing.
Accept where you are in this season of your life. Allow it. Sit with it. And start imagining where you are headed and how good it will feel.
Intention for the coming weeks
I know what is best for me right now. I am heading towards a new place that feels aligned and I accept my current situation with grace and gratitude.
Pile 2
King of Wands
Seven of Swords (reversed)
Justice
The Magician
Where do I need to slow down?
The King of Wands reminds you that you are full of fire and creative vision for your life. You have been seeing things through and are driven these days BUT you are being asked to slow down.
The King of Wands represents guidance from an aligned mentor. Instead of plowing forward, step back, slow down, and heed the advice of someone you trust before moving ahead.
How am I spreading myself too thin?
The Seven of Swords is an indication that your current habits and thought patterns are hindering your progress. It is also a sign that you might be pushing too hard against something in order to force what you want.
Both of these energies are tiring and will leave you feeling burnt out or frustrated that you’re not making the progress you’d hoped.
What I can do to recharge at this time?
Justice is a powerful card and calls most strongly for balance. This speaks most clearly to card number 2: a need to reevaluate your habits and thought patterns so they are more in alignment with what is best for you.
You may be faced with some important decisions right now. There is a great deal of peace in making a decision about something, rather than constantly deliberating over it. Make the decisions you need to make and leave the rest. You need this space in your mind to recharge.
How can I practice more patience with myself overall?
Embrace your own power and potential and light. Return back to your divine essence and the incredible miracle of perfect timing that is your human existence. It is a magical incarnation.
You will feel more patient with yourself when you practice recognizing this miracle of existence and stop being so hard on yourself. Appreciate what you do have, far more is working for you than is not.
Overall message
You have two very powerful cards (3 & 4) guiding this reading.
This reading is asking you to get out of your analytical head and to trust yourself. It is also reminding you that it might be a good time to seek the advice of someone you trust and admire.
In order to stay more balanced, connect with appreciation and gratitude for what is working in your life.
Intention for the coming weeks
It is okay that I lean on others that I trust right now. I am a miracle. There is so much working out for me that I see and acknowledge. I am grateful for all I have in my life.
Pile 3
Four of Cups (reversed)
Eight of Wands
Ace of Swords (reversed)
Maiden of Wands
Where do I need to slow down?
You are so close to breaking free from a situation that has held you back. You have been doing work to rectify things, but this card is asking you to slow down.
Don’t rush this next step.
Make sure you take the time to align with your heart. What is it saying to you? Be clear about the next steps before you make them.
How am I spreading myself too thin?
You are filled with more clarity than you’ve had in a long time. This card works seamlessly with the first in that you’re nearing the next phase of something important in your life.
Be mindful of putting too much energy toward this one thing on an external level. It can throw you off balance and you risk running out of steam. Be sure to align within—and check-in with yourself—too.
What I can do to recharge at this time?
The Ace of Swords is all about clarity of purpose, and also how that aligns within. Step back every now and then from focusing on where you’re going and give yourself some love. Self-care is important, always.
How can I practice more patience with myself overall?
Remember who you are. Make a list of your favorite personal qualities. You have a positive change on the horizon and the Maiden of Wands is here to remind you of your own personal power and strength.
Practice grace and slowing down.
Overall message
This spread is calling on you to embrace any clarity and exciting changes you have on the horizon, but not at the peril of losing sight of everything else, especially self-care. Stay steady, balanced, and clear, and great things are on their way.
Intention for the coming weeks
I am strong and aligned. My clarity and the energy I’ve put into things is paying off and it feels great. I love where I am and eager for more.
Final thoughts
This message might take a little while to settle into and integrate.
I’ve included intentions to take with you along the way that neatly sum up your reading as you navigate this phase.
You’ll know when something has been worked through. Then move to something else.
In the meantime, I like to save images to my phone to review if I’m really working through something tough. Sometimes our egos and subconscious minds need little reminders (even though we often know what’s right deep within).
Until next time,
Natalie

This was a really nice way to do the cards this week, and very well-timed, as these were issues weighing on my mind. Thank you!
