Gitige is a tree bordering my property and my neighbor’s that, against my will, was mostly cut down last year.
It was during this time that I began noticing that when I focused on Gitige, I received messages, including the name Gitige. I wanted to find out if the name meant anything. In the Ojibwe language (native to my area), gitige means “to plant or garden” in its basic form*.
Many of Gitige’s early messages were about the importance of tending to the Earth and planting things. Obviously, this blew my mind.
Gitige is regrowing and still continues to have a loud, wise voice. I ask, connect, then record verbatim what comes through. Nothing is altered except punctuation and spelling mistakes.
*This is from an internet search, so please reach out if there’s something I’m missing, as I’m deeply curious to learn more and do not know the Ojibwe language.
How can I move through transition with grace?
“To move through anything, you keep going.
Pushing through the soil, unfurling new leaves. Reaching for the sun. Pausing to drink water and connect with the earth under your feet. Grounding. For real. Bare feet on the earth.
Grace is always offering a hand when you move through transition. It is up to you to take it. You decide to move through with grace. This informs your energy field and your behavior, and your choices. It is the archetype you work with, if you choose. A graceful human going through a transition. You may choose to put on that hat each day.
The only way out is through, and that feels scary to many of you. So you never move. It is easier to stay still. But stillness has its ripening time, and the energy must flow again.
The waterfall is always scary until you open your wings and let the water catch you below. I mean, transition isn’t to be thought of as the end. It is the beginning. It is Fresh. You embrace this newness with grace when you open to it. When you love yourself enough to allow your soul room to expand. to speak. to express.
Earth is the frequency of god.
Ground to it. Trust it. Move ahead from that place. Even when the worst comes, there is always a path and a spark.
There is never nothing.
Look forward to hunting that spark. Look forward to newness and transformation. Lean into the invitation like you would a strong wind. It doesn’t have to mow you down.
Your love for the earth and yourself can move mountains. Shift paradigms. Redirect flow. Change frequency.
Take the hand of grace, the grounding of the earth, and harness your curiosity to discover the spark.
You will get through.
When you turn your head to look up at the waterfall at your back, you will raise your arms and shout at the sky with joy that you did it. You reached the other side and are reborn.
Grace never leaves you when you choose to step through any portal. It walks beside you.
It is part of the order of things.
I want you to know how important you are. Every one of you.
Keep walking through the portals, keep dancing with the moon. It is never done, this process. Only stay still long enough to appreciate what is around you, absorb it, all the love. Then it is time to move on again. That is how your life is full. Grace is never far.”
