Do you believe in omens or signs from the other side?
I do.
I don’t know how they work, but I also believe there is so much to this world we don’t understand. Just because we can’t see it like radio waves or anything our phones send into the ether, it doesn’t mean it isn’t real.
My maternal grandmother was an incredible woman, an absolute queen of hearts. On the day she passed at her home in hospice care, I went outside for a walk. In her yard a playing card had blown in from somewhere…you guessed it, the queen of hearts. I still carry it in my wallet 15 years later.
It’s stuff like that. You can decide to see magic all around you or not. I choose the former.
Yesterday morning I went out to check on the chickens and there was a perfectly placed turkey feather (the one pictured here) on top of the coop, like a gift. I choose to believe it was one.
March’s famous archetypical battle between the lion and the lamb feels, at least to me, that it extends beyond the weather report this year.
I don’t need to illustrate this, you know what I’m getting at.
The question is: how do we balance these extremes?
How do we stand firm when the storm rages and soften when the world asks us to relax into the warmth?
This week’s pick a card reading will guide you toward the energy you can embrace, ponder, or observe as the world keeps spinning around you.
See if there are any omens mixed in related to your choice along the way. I’d love to hear about them in the comments. If you’d like to be more involved in the Sacred Path, try the Substack app :)

Nine of Wands
The Nine of Wands brings a message of resilience and perseverance.
This is an energy to can tap into. It is deeply woven into your bones.
You may feel like you’re nearing the end of a long, hard journey, yet the storm still rages. There is a quiet, stubborn strength in this card—like the lion, standing firm against the wind.
The Nine of Wands reminds you that even in moments when you feel exhausted or worn down, your endurance can carry you through.
If you’re grappling with intense pressure, this card asks you to dig deep and trust that you’ve made it this far for a reason.
Keep holding your ground, and when you’re ready, release any unnecessary tension. The gentle lamb rests after every storm.
Suggestion: decide on an omen to look out for this week that represents this energy
two
Knight of Swords, rx
The Knight of Swords reversed speaks to the danger of rushing forward too fast, fueled by ungrounded enthusiasm.
Basically, acting without thinking.
When faced with rapid change or overwhelming forces, it’s easy to act impulsively—like the lion charging into the fight.
However, the reversed Knight cautions you to pause. When things feel like they’re moving too fast, you don’t have to race with them. Instead, take a moment to regain control and clarity.
What is true for you in this moment, despite what’s going on around you?
This is an invitation to slow down, reassess, and find your steady pace in a world that often demands haste.
Suggestion: decide on an omen to look out for this week that represents this energy
three
The Sun
The Sun is a card of clarity, joy, and vitality. It represents illumination—both externally and within.
If you’ve been navigating stormy weather, The Sun brings the promise of brighter days ahead, yes, but also reminds you that you have the power to access The Sun that is always within when you need it.
That is Source, God, the Universe shining through. That flame doesn’t go out, friend.
This card invites you to step into your power, shine brightly, and trust that the balance between light and dark is always at play.
Allow yourself to bask in your light (your gifts and strengths), knowing that even in March’s unpredictable weather, the sun always returns.
Suggestion: decide on an omen to look out for this week that represents this energy
