Introducing: The Corporate Oracle đ
My first deck â¤ď¸
Before everything 2020, my partner, Harry, and I were on a hike and talking about archetypes. Already riveting, huh? đ
I had just started to âcome out of the tarot closetâ to my close friends and family. It sounds a little trite, but the negative stereotypes surrounding this work are deeply embedded in our culture, and I was afraid of being misunderstood.
For the record, I have since done a lot of reflection, learning, and research and have fully embraced this work. But Iâve also developed a passion for demystifying the practice of card reading so itâs better understood as an empowering tool for growth, decision-making, and healing.
Mine is a more pragmatic, analytical (a term used in The Holistic Tarot), and non-predictive approach to the cards rooted in psychology and Jungian archetypes.
I donât see the future. I wonât tell you what someone else might be thinking about you. I canât know if youâll meet the love of your life or get the job or win the lottery. I donât communicate with dead folks or do anything that removes your agency from the experience.
In a reading, the cards are a neutral reflection of your life, much like a mirror. Only the person looking at the reflection judges it, the mirror simply reflects what is there. The choices, the work, the healing is done by you. It is NOT preordained.
My job is simply to interpret the cards and communicate that language back to you. More on that another time.
Back to the hike with my partnerâŚ
We tromped on the snowy, frozen lake. It was endlessly white, cold, and empty. I noticed how the energy of The Hermit card was SO present during the winter months, especially in Minneapolis.
The Hermit is all about turning inward, figuratively or literally. In February in Minnesota, everyone (quite literally) hibernates.
For whatever reason, we started talkingâthen jokingâabout other non-tarot archetypes and somehow ended up in the corporate work environment.
Box of donuts, anyone?
Harry worked in corporate in Manhattan for 20 years, so he had a lot to say, including a joke about a âcorporate oracleâ or something close to that.
I blew it off at first, mainly because Iâm not particularly passionate about the topic of corporate life.
But it was undeniable how strong many of the archetypes were. My brain went on overdrive recognizing all the similarities from my tarot practice.

I busted out my phone and made a huge list: the boss, the intern, retirement, corner office, the affair, the box of donuts, etc. The ideas kept flowing and it was kind ofâŚfun.
I made doodles, jotted notes, and wondered where this was all going.
What started as a joke became a 52-card oracle deck: The Corporate Oracle
But why?
In 2020, I started this weekly newsletter youâre reading now, and also began reading tarot for people. I was particularly drawn to the folks that hadnât experienced a reading before, especially those who were skeptical.
I found myself assuring people that they didnât have to believe in anything occult-ish or spiritual for the readings to have big value and impact. If they were believers, great. Either way, the readings worked.
There were tears and laughter, âI knew itsâ and new understandings, plus a LOT of clarity.
The power that archetypes and symbols have to help us look at our lives through a new lens really blew me away:
âThe signs and symbols of the cards facilitate retrieval of information from the unconscious and move it to the forefront of the conscious plane of the mind, which can then help us form creative solutions, present a different angle to a problem that we have been looking monotonously at, or offer the breakthrough that allows us to move forward.â
-The Holistic Tarot
The Corporate Oracle feels like a bridge (topic-wise) to expose folks to this practice that might otherwise not give it a second look.
I think the world needs all of the helpful tools it can get these days, and I know this is one of them.

Now what?
Each week Iâll be introducing a new card (sometimes two) from The Corporate Oracle and its meaning. From there, if youâre loving the deck, Iâll offer opportunities to jump on the pre-sale list so you can grab your own copy.
Iâll also continue to offer 1:1 zoom readings (sign-up) and free pick-a-card readings right here every Monday.
Looking forward to exploring these archetypes with you.
xo,
Natalie

Excited for this next phase of your journey! đ
