one
ten of wands + Neptune
The Ten of Wands. It’s taking stock of all of the many irons you have in the fire. The ten of wands urges completion (like the full moon) but recognizes the cost of bearing many stressful burdens at the same time.
What can be released that you’re trying to get “done” or just carrying around for no good reason?
A good way to assess this is to imagine how you’ll feel when IT is finished or completed. From there you can check if it feels amazing in your body or just kind of “meh”. The latter points to something that you don’t really need to be putting energy into right now.
Neptune supports your work towards completion and energetic tidying up by asking you to pay attention to your inner voice. If you haven’t had a heart-to-heart with your inner voice in a while, it might be the softest little whisper. No matter.
What is calling you? Tugging at your interests?
The best part about this pairing is this:
Once you do the ten of wands completing & releasing, you’ll have more room to explore, explore, explore those new interests calling you.
Don’t be afraid if your curiosities seem “out of character” for you. Who’s deciding that anyways? This is a wonderful message to embrace what is calling you.
two
six of swords + Jupiter
Jupiter’s energy is expansive. It reminds you to embrace growth, new ideas, and trying something you’ve wanted to explore.
Beautifully paired with the six of swords—transition, transition—look out for how Jupiter’s energy shows up in your life.
It might be a new friend, on online class, or a book investigating a topic you’re called to explore.
You are wired to feel comfortable and safe, it’s a survival thing. But whenever you embark on a new journey, whether a literal trip or something else new, you’re likely to feel resistance. It’s normal, and built-in to keep you cautious and safe.
Like the six of swords, resistance can also get you overthinking things and talking yourself out of them.
But your work, dear one, is to overcome it. That is where life is the BEST.
Get a little uncomfortable and try something you’ve always wanted to try. Trust that you’ll be okay. You’ve made it this far, haven’t you?
three
the Tower + Venus
A lot of folks who know the cards will gasp! a little when the Tower shows up. That’s totally natural, as it represents a time of sudden big changes and upheaval. It’s the symbol of everything that you thought was solid crumbling to the ground. Or it can be a lot of little things piling up that, eventually, weigh too much to carry.
You’re probably like, “Yeah, I can see why people don’t like it.”
But here’s the medicine you need this week: Venus can balance any massive transition by offering you the gifts of pleasure. Physical pleasure, rest, food, love, deep feelings, laughter, the enjoyment of art or music…alllllllll the good stuff.
I personally like seeing the Tower pop up. I believe—and so does the essence of this card—that when scary things happen, it is ultimately for our greater growth and evolution.
If you’re in the thick of it with loss, health problems, depression, etc., it might not feel like it’s serving you. But that’s what the cards are here for: to remind you where to look that you may have forgotten.
In this case, the pleasure of Venus. Pleasure as a way to temper any storm you’re in is tremendous alchemy.
Venus does remind you, too, that keeping pleasure in balance is important or it bleeds into overindulgence. Eventually, overindulgence completes a full circle where you’ll find yourself right back where you started.
But, get to the other side of the circle (the Tower at 12 and Venus at 6 on a clock, for example), and you’ll experience a bit of relief and, dare I say it, joy.
Thank you! 🙏
