Welcome to another week, friends!
I try to keep these Monday readings short and sweet so you can grab what resonates and take it through the week.
The world is focused on Paris, so today’s deck is from France. It was a gift from a dear friend who lives there, and I really, really love the vibe.
Let me know what you think, too.
xo,
Natalie
PS: If you missed what we’re doing on Fridays, check out this post from a couple of weeks ago that was non-paywalled.
The Cards

Before scrolling down, take a moment.
Take a breath.
Then, choose a card, 1-3.

Page of Swords
It’s time to explore the ideas bouncing around in your mind.
You know, that thing you’re thinking about that you’d like to learn or do, but you keep overthinking and talking yourself out of.
Do you know that thing?
The Page invites you to be open to what might open up for you if you chase one of these ideas.
See where it leads. Allow yourself to be curious instead of predicting how it’s going to go and inventing reasons for why you shouldn’t do it or explore the idea further.
It’s okay if it isn’t the biggest, most epic thing in your life. But you’ll learn from it all the same and likely be happy you looked a little closer.

9 of Swords
It’s time to notice that your thoughts about the future are just thoughts.
And the even better news?
You aren’t your thoughts. They’re just things that flit around your noodle.
This card is a gentle reminder that when you feel the most anxious and worried, you’re living in the future and missing the best part of the whole thing: right now.
Try taking a few steps this week towards noticing when you’re lost in looping, negative thoughts instead of enjoying, or at least being present to, what’s right in front of you.
Practice this as often as you can.

The Devil
One of the most human things we do is ignore our shadow.
We love to hide from it with drinks and tv and shopping and food and sex and all sorts of indulgences.
But the root is still there. And wouldn’t you know, your shadow needs love, too?
The more you can look at it, say hello, and notice that you’re a human being who is always growing, learning, and trying to improve, the less desire you’ll have to cover it up.
Try to look at a part of your shadow this week. Maybe it’s a fear. Maybe it’s a strong opinion or a deep wound. Or something else.
Acknowledge that part of yourself and send it some love rather than choosing to hide from it.
oh lord this was relevant for meee... looping thoughts :)
