Hi friends,
I hope you’re enjoying the first weeks of spring, wherever you are. It’s still snowy here in MN, but the excitement of new life is palpable, particularly with the neighborhood birds darting about and chattering more.
Big news!
Stay tuned this week here on Substack for some exciting news from the Capricorn Born world. I promise this space won’t become spammy, but you’ll probably hear from me a little bit more often in the next week or two.
To notice
This week’s pick-a-card features a couple of lovely decks, and the invitation to think about something to notice in your life.
This could be an external or internal observation, but whatever comes up, know that it surfaced for a reason. The cards are very adept at nudging the unconscious and revealing ideas we might be avoiding for some reason.
So take a deep breath, pick the pile that you’re most drawn to, and discover something you might benefit from noodling over this week.
xo,
Natalie
The cards:
Decks: Pagan Otherworlds & The Sacred Creators
Stones:
Larimar, green amber, and ruby zoisite

Temperance reversed + what’s your honest truth?
When Temperance is reversed, it asks us to notice an area—or areas—that are out of balance for the purpose of self-healing.
This might be a place where things are in excess, like too much alcohol or late nights. It can also be a shortage, like not enough water or sleep or connection with others.
Or, for extra fun, it can be both.
There is no shame here, only noticing.
The idea is to be honest with yourself about what comes up. Likely, it popped into your head right away.
Sit with this information a while. Ask yourself to just notice it, and notice how your life is effected by it. You don’t need to pressure yourself to change things all at once, that can be gradual.
But the noticing is powerful. Being honest with yourself is powerful, too.
This is a good time to write. Grab a notebook and set a timer for 15-20 minutes and see what comes up.
Finally, how would you life be different if things were more balanced? What is one small step you can take today to move in that direction?

The Emperor + Overthinking can spoil the magic
The Emperor is the master of structure and following the guidelines we have set up for ourselves in society. It is divine masculine energy, and just like any energy, a part of the Emperor lives in all of us.
You’re being asked to notice where you might be taking your Emperor’s energy a step too far by non-stop overthinking.
True enough, our brains are like fingerprints, and some of us have a tendency to dance the overthinking dance more than others.
There is no shame here.
How might you alleviate your discomfort around this issue by making a decision?
What is the worst that could happen if you decide something and then need to alter your course?
Life’s beauty is in part about discovering things. Notice what might be keeping you from exploring more because you’re stuck in a somewhat rigid thought loop.
Play with options and outcomes. See how it feels.

Judgement reversed + Gratitude. again.
This week, notice where you might be extra hard on yourself. You might also be in your own way on a path to growth, joy, and more pleasure in your life.
The key here is to be gentle…and grateful.
Gratitude is quiet. It falls on us like a leaf from a tree most days, rarely like a thunderstorm. You can be grateful for just the noticing that this exercise brings. You don’t have to solve anything or do anything, simply notice.
Are you talking yourself out of things? Making excuses? Avoiding a pull that you know you should follow?
Why?
Take things back to an appreciation for what you do have, and go from there. Gratitude is tossed around a lot in our modern culture, but it is a powerful antidote to self doubt and a critical mindset.
What do you have? What can you be sincerely grateful for?
Lean into that and revisit why you might be in your own way. A journal might be really helpful here, too.
