Powerful messages this week: What to release and what to step into?
A 2-card spread to start your week 💫
Hola friends,
Imma gonna keep talking about it: I think Friday’s Capricorn Born newsletter format is increasingly powerful and evolving into something beautiful.
In case you missed it, Friday’s email was open to all with no paywall. So you can see what I’m talking about if you missed it.
Liked it?
Didn’t?
I’d love to hear what you think if you’re into offering a little feedback.
Today’s cards
Today’s cards represent something to release, followed by something to consider or embrace.

The Magician rx & The Hierophant rx
Release:
You are a powerful being who can create worlds.
It’s time to gently step out of your own way and start getting things done.
Whatever you keep putting off, notice the story of why you continue to ignore what needs to be done.
The only way out is through, so take a deep breath, offer yourself some love, and move beyond this sticking point.
Consider or embrace:
The best part of releasing energy that is holding you back is it makes room for new energy.
The Hierophant rx represents that part of you that is capable of doing things your way.
You get to take these next steps exactly the way you want. Just because it’s “always been that way” doesn’t mean it has to be.
Pay attention to where you’re being pulled and what is drawing you in. That is the next place to go, friend, and it might not look how you expected it to.
two
8 of Cups rx & 5 of Disks (pentacles) rx
Release:
You’re trying to feel good about how this is going, but something isn’t quite right. You’ve probably tried to give it another shot, even.
The 8 of Cups invites you to pay close attention to how this makes you feel.
It’s time to walk away from that person or project or job or whatever is making you feel bad.
It’s expensive, and the cost is your health and well-being.
Consider or embrace:
Letting go of something that doesn’t feel good but has been part of your world for a long time is a process. And it certainly isn’t always easy.
But it can open up new doors for you. There is always a recovery process, and welcoming that as your next chapter isn’t all bad.
This is your opportunity to walk through what needs to be shed and start getting clear about what you’d like to experience instead.
three
Queen of Disks (pentacles) rx & King of Swords rx
Release:
This is a call to let go of that thing that’s keeping you from taking care of yourself the best way you can.
It might be a nightly drinking habit or a greasy, delicious sandwich habit you have for lunch. Perhaps it’s not getting enough sleep or refusing to talk to someone about everything you’re carrying.
Take one thing, the thing that feels most potent for you, and face it. Thank it for showing you what needs to be released and do it.
Consider or embrace:
The King of Swords reversed is deeply aligned in his truth and knowing. He is that part of ourselves that knows when something is right for us or not.
As you step into a new habit of self-care, notice what feels right for you and listen to that.
New truths will emerge as you face and release things you’ve been carrying. Notice what feels true and see where that leads you.
Keep your word to yourself.
