Even though it’s weirdly summer-ish, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy the autumn weather this year. I can’t remember an October when I was able to sit outside and work this late into the season.
Usually, by now, here in Minnesota, the deck furniture has been stowed, and the water to the garden and yard has been turned off. I know, I know, all this warmth is a symptom of a much bigger and more concerning issue globally.
But today, because I’m here and alive, I choose to enjoy it rather than worry about it.
On that note of choice and attitude, let’s get into the cards.
The theme for the week:
In what area of your life would a shift in perspective bring the most growth right now?
Settle in, take a breath, focus on the theme, and choose a card.

knight of coins
The Knight of Coins reminds you that growth often demands patience and dedication, but if you’re grinding yourself into the ground, it’s time for a shift. You’ve been doing the work and showing up, but the question is—are you moving forward or just stuck in a routine?
Sometimes, the biggest breakthrough comes not from doing more, but from stepping back and asking, “Is this still the right path?” What if you could honor your commitment and consistency while finding a way to inject more freedom and flexibility into your process?
Consider this: The knight is all about persistence, but he can also get bogged down in perfectionism. To grow, you might need to loosen your grip on the details and trust the bigger picture.

Five of blades rx
The reversed 5 of Blades comes with a simple but powerful message: it’s time to shift how you approach conflict and communication.
Holding onto past battles, replaying those moments, or staying locked in a mindset of “I need to be right” isn’t serving you anymore. Peace and real growth lie in stepping back, asking yourself, “Is this worth the energy?” and choosing resolution over victory.
A deeper kind of strength comes when you let go of the need to one-up others or cling to grudges. Imagine how light you’d feel if you released that mental tension, creating space for true connection and understanding.

five of rods
The 5 of Rods comes with fire, chaos, and competition, but what if you could flip it a little? What if the friction you’re feeling isn’t meant to burn you out but instead shape you into something stronger?
The struggles you’re facing aren’t roadblocks—they’re training grounds. A shift in perspective here asks you to see challenges as invitations, not threats. Instead of viewing the chaos around you as exhausting, what if it’s refining your ability to thrive under pressure?
Growth isn’t about eliminating conflict; it’s about learning how to navigate it with grace. The energy of the 5 of Rods is asking you to lean into the tension but with the wisdom that not every battle is worth fighting.
