Welcome to a beautiful mid-October, friends.
I’m having a lot of messages come through lately around decision making. As we prepare for a season of rest and reflection, this is an excellent time to assess what is going well for you and what you’d like to change going forward.
The biggest thing to remember is that the changes you want to see in your life take intentional—and sometimes challenging—shifts in how you live your life. Each day is a series of many, many micro decisions that make up the macro.
If your big picture hasn’t shifted much in the way you’d hoped, drill down and reflect on the micro.
Today’s cards are a mix of an archetype Oracle and Tarot. Being aware of the energies and themes that may pop up for you gives you the space to be more present and intentional about the decisions you make.
We’re slowly moving out of Mercury retrograde, but there are gifts that this transit brings that are often overlooked. I mean, folks really dislike this transit. But it suggests that it’s an excellent time to turn inward and reflect.
Turn the shadow into something helpful and useful.
So, what’s worked for you and what needs shifting?

One
Gnosis & The King of Cups, reversed
From Kim Krans on Gnosis:
“Those who say they know, don’t. Those who say they don’t know, know.”
Energies open and available to this group to are all about knowing. Your innermost voice that guides you is calling. You may find that you’re drawn to the Mysteries more than usual, and uncovering answers to life’s big questions.
The King is a heart-centered and compassionate leader. He is balanced between heart & head, embodying the sacred feminine in a way that brings about a very diplomatic approach to all he encounters.
This reading is all about tapping into your felt experience. Your intuitive answers are likely the correct ones.
But the shadow side of the King’s reversal—as well as the darker side of Gnosis—asks you to be aware of ways where you distrust yourself. You may look to others for the answers instead of within.
It’s a time for Self-compassion, for trusting your guidance, and really, really listening to what it has to say. Especially when it comes to this week’s theme of micro decisions.
Which decisions do you make daily that aren’t serving you anymore?
two
The King & Five of Cups, reversed
You embody the archetype of the King whenever you stand and assess your life, make decisions for yourself or family, lead by example, and serve others.
The King is a strong, easy-to-recognize archetype in our society, and his energy can remind us of the benefit of acting in a diplomatic way.
There is a level of humility present here, too. Combined with the Five of Cups reversed, this is a nudge to forgive Self for any perceived missteps you’ve made.
It’s time to embody the compassionate, noble King and move on. Whatever you’re hung up on that is causing emotional turmoil, this is a good time to let it go. Forgive yourself and accept that mistakes and setbacks are a part of this human journey.
It’s okay to mess up. Learn from it, have gratitude for the lesson, and continue on.
three
The Pilgrim & Ace of Swords, reversed
What are the obstacles standing between where you are and where you think you’d like to be?
The Pilgrim embodies our journeying Self, the part of us that wanders, seeks, and grows from the experiences we have.
With the Ace of Swords reversed, you’re called to look more deeply at your own thoughts and ideas. It’s a time to seek inner clarity, because it’s from that space that all things move forward, grow, and bloom.
Without inner clarity and reflection, the Pilgrim is lost. Bouncing from place to place, experience to experience, without growing or learning is a sign that your judgement may be clouded. This may feel like everyday is a “same old, same old” experience. If that’s true for you, tap into these energies for guidance.
What is calling you? Follow that instinct. Explore that nudge with an eagerness to learn more about yourself and welcome in a new adventure.
